The Secret to Building a Strong Clientele
Lash Artists with Strong Clientele All Do One Thing
And that’s building personal emotional relationships. Many lash artists attract new clients because the client wants lash extensions.
What keeps the client isn’t the lash extensions, it’s you.
Let’s take a step away from lashing for a second and look at something outside of lashing.
Let’s use McDonald's as an example. We all know McDonald's is not the best for our health, but so many Americans run back to it. Sure, it’s convenient and cheap but what McDonald's is selling isn’t actually the food or drive-thru's. It’s the emotion of happiness. Take a look at their slogan, “I’m Lovin It”. The feeling of love, joy, and happiness fits perfectly with the sensation you get when you take that first sip of soda, quenching your dry scratchy throat. The positive emotions associated with the soda, salty foods, convenience, bright red and yellow colors that are often associated with happiness in the media, and even their slogan ALL contribute to the emotions that keep Americans coming back to McDonald's.
Now back to your lash business, think about the following.....
Tip: Find 1-2 things you have in common with each client and build on that.
Example: You and your client love to bake. At their lash appointment, talk about baking. Maybe share a recipe. This makes your client naturally more comfortable and confident with you, making it less likely they’ll leave you for a competitor.
