Week 9 | My Favorite Herbal Tea
For those of you who didn’t know, I am a Certified Herbalist. I dedicated an entire year to an in-person Herbalist School, as well as many other incredible programs. The wonderful thing about Herbalism is that every herbalist has a recipe that differs slightly from another’s. Today I wanted to share with yo my go-to, cozy herbal tea. This tea is great for women’s health, gut health, is immune boosting, and is full of adaptogens to help all of the herbal actions support each other. This tea also has antiaging benefits, as well as cancer fighting capabilities according to the greats!
This tea has 5 main ingredients, but feel free to add your favorites and make it uniquely yours.
½ tsp. Marshmallow Root
½ tsp. Milky Oats (fresh is BEST, it gives you a cornbread flavor… yummmmmyyy)
½ tsp. Ashwagandha Root
1 pinch of Licorice Root
1 Pinch of Cinnamon Bark (bark is best, because powder can irritate your throat)
Blend these together, let steep for 5 minutes and BOOM. You’ve got a delicious alternative to a drive thru coffee, a cozy beverage perfect for snuggling up to on a rainy day, and a tea that is SO beneficial to your body!
